My training began with a bachelors degree in Textiles from Rhode Island School of Design. I went on to work in the Apparel/ Home Furnishings industries before leaving the corporate world to be a full time artist. Most recently I was trained at Ecole Lesage in Paris, France to be a haute couture embroiderer and I am currently completing my MFA at Heartwood College of Art in Kennebunkport, Maine. I have worked in cotton mills and on 40th and Broadway in Manhattan. I have lived in six states and traveled the world. At the moment I am living in Maine and making artwork to support young women being fully educated so the future will be brighter for our children. I am a formidable woman and will fight for a woman's right to autonomy at any cost.
Do you have a story for me? I will make a House Dress for a story and keep the dress as part of the traveling exhibition. I also make House Dresses for people to keep for a fee. Reach out to me and let's talk.
