My training began with a bachelors degree in Textiles from Rhode Island School of Design. I went on to work in the Apparel/ Home Furnishings industries before leaving the corporate world to be a full time artist. Most recently I was trained at Ecole Lesage in Paris, France to be a haute couture embroiderer and I also completed my MFA at Heartwood College of Art. I have worked in cotton mills and on 40th and Broadway in Manhattan. I have lived in six states and traveled the world. At the moment I am living in Maine and designing an inclusive clothing line- www.kbeckerdesigns.com
(gender and size inclusive). A portion of all proceeds will be used to support young women being fully educated so the future will be brighter for our children. I am a formidable woman and will fight for a woman's right to autonomy at any cost.
