Join Elizabeth and Kimberly for a weekend of creating in the coastal community of Bath, Maine.
GatHER with like minded women to create and connect.
You decide, would watercolor in a sketchbook or stitching on linen with needle and thread work best for you?
Some of the participants will be making Story Cloths , a beginning point to explore your personal narrative with tiny stitches, and others will be learning basic skills to draw the world around us and add watercolors to the images. With stitching, we will guide you through a weekend of learning embroidery techniques to use in creating your Story Cloth which can then be made into an origami bag or a wrap to be used on a chilly summer night. For the painting we will explore sketching and drawing using watercolor to capture images.
Beginning on Friday evening with a light meal and introduction, we will spend the next couple of days working with needle and thread on tissue linen and paint and pencil on watercolor paper, exercising with yoga and walks around our waterfront community, and enjoying wholesome and delicious meals in a wonderful refurbished Victorian right in the heart of Bath, ME.
Above all, we want to make sure you feel refreshed when you leave. Through retreat, creative practice, good food, and new connections, there will be a wonderful balance of inspiration, rest and rejuvenation.
Some of the highlights...
